The Melton 5450-S “Thor” C-Tuba is a 5/4 C tuba constructed with a brass body and bell. It features a bore size of 19.00 mm for the 1st to 3rd valves, 20.00 mm for the 4th valve, and 20.50 mm for the 5th cylinder valve. The tuba has a bell diameter of 480 mm and a height of 985 mm. It is equipped with five valves, including four “Big valve” Perinet steel valves and a thumb lever for the 5th valve located on the right side. The entire instrument is completely silver plated and comes with an ICON 24AW mouthpiece and a Melton gig bag.
